Muslin is a loose, open-weave cotton that has been used for over a thousand years in warm climates precisely because it breathes. Ours is woven from 100% long-staple cotton in four gauze layers — the open structure lets air move through the blanket instead of trapping it against your skin, so you stay covered without overheating.

It will not refrigerate you — nothing worn on a bed does. What it does is stop the heat build-up that wakes you at 3am. The open weave releases body heat and moisture instead of trapping it the way fleece, polyester and heavy duvets do. Most hot sleepers describe the difference as "finally neutral": warm enough to feel covered, never clammy.

Four layers of cotton gauze trap a surprising amount of still air, which is what insulation actually is. On its own it suits most bedrooms year-round; in a cold room, layer it under or over your duvet — it adds breathable warmth without weight. For deep winter, our Winter Muslin adds two extra layers.

Yes — this is the part owners love most. Muslin is one of the few fabrics that genuinely improves with washing. Each cycle relaxes the weave and raises the crinkle, so the blanket you have after ten washes is softer than the one that arrived.

Yes — both the Pouf and the Nuage go in the machine, cold and gentle, then tumble dry low with a couple of dryer balls to re-loft the fill. Give them a good shake after and they come back to full puff.

200 grams of DriftPoint™ micro-beads rest gentle, even pressure across the brow and temples while blocking essentially all light. It's the smallest thing on the bed and the fastest to prove itself — most people feel the difference the first night.

Machine wash cold or 30°C on a gentle cycle, then tumble dry low or line dry. Skip bleach and fabric softener — softener coats the fibres and works against the natural softening. That is the entire routine.

Pre-washed cotton gauze holds its size within normal tolerances (allow 2–3% on a first hot wash — another reason we recommend cold). Pilling is a synthetic-fibre problem; 100% cotton muslin does not pill.

Blankets: Throw (130 × 170 cm) suits the sofa and single sleepers; Queen (150 × 200 cm) covers a double or queen bed; King (200 × 230 cm) and up is for king beds and blanket thieves. Comforters run Twin/Twin XL, Full/Queen and King/Cal King. If you are between sizes, size up — the drape is the point.

Sleep under it for up to 100 nights. If it has not changed your nights, contact us and we will refund you in full — including washed and slept-in blankets. We ask hot sleepers to give it at least two weeks; your body needs a few nights to recalibrate after years of overheating.
